About us
InnovaWood is a major European network in the forestry, woodworking and furniture sector. The network has 50+ member organisations from 27 countries in Europe and overseas, including leading research institutes and technical centres in the field of research, education, training and knowledge transfer in the forest-based industries.
Our aims
The overall aim is to bring business benefit to the value chain by providing a forum for the member organisations and contribute to the competitive development of Europe’s forest-based sector. InnovaWood represents a common voice for promoting wider impacts from innovative uses of wood, Europe’s most underdeveloped, important renewable raw material, in line with the major policies of the European Union.
Our main activities
InnovaWood supports its members in collaborative actions, forging links with other sectors and promoting crosscutting RTDI cooperation. The services include participation in EC and EU stakeholder meetings, networking and representation on behalf of members, early information about funding programmes and calls, joint initiatives and management, and communication and dissemination support.
